Nuestro wines are rooted in a rich family tradition that dates back to 1865, when the first vines were planted during pre-phylloxera times. Today, the family collaborates with the renowned Montaña family from Rioja, known for their prestigious Viña Otano range, continuing their legacy with great success. The winery is located in Fuentelcésped, Burgos, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero appellation, a town historically celebrated for producing wines with exceptional aging potential.

At Nuestro, a combination of traditional and sustainable methods is employed to create outstanding wines. These include multiple thinning/green harvest passes through the vineyards, mechanical weeding without the use of chemicals, the application of organic fertilizer made from composted winery waste, and hand-harvesting the finest fruit. Their vineyards, ranging from 30 to 155 years old, are entirely estate-grown.

In 2004, a new winery was constructed, equipped with refrigerated stainless steel tanks and extensive space for aging wine in both barrels and bottles. The cellars can hold over 20,000 cases of wine.

For more than ten generations, the Díaz Bayo family has been devoted to cultivating land in the Ribera del Duero, with a vineyard tradition in Fuentelcésped that traces back to 1177. The family’s vineyards are planted in the Nava stream valley, an ideal location with sunny slopes, loose soil, and abundant pebbles.

The estate spans nearly 41 hectares (100 acres) across multiple parcels at elevations of 2800 to 3200 feet, just 10 miles southeast of Aranda de Duero. The diverse soils—comprising limestone, marl, and clay—along with varied vineyard exposures, result in a wide range of fruit flavors and a longer harvest period. The vines, aged between 12 and 100 years, are organically farmed, hand-harvested, and fermented in a mix of oak, cement, and stainless steel vats.
